The Eagles 2025 Season Preview!!!!!

Image
Today I will be going over every position of the Eagles and previewing each for the upcoming season.  QB Starting up we have Jalen Hurts, who by the way was just named 19th best player. Hurts once again deals with the big challenge of a new OC which seems to be a revolving door for the Eagles.  organization. He comes out of a super- bowl MVP season where he won his first ring. He had a struggling training camp but proved his skill in the finale. Leading the Eagles for his 5th season, many have him listed as a possible MVP for this year. He has an incredible supporting cast and should have no reason to be mediocre. With a critical eye, I hope to see some improvement in his passing performance as that has been my only concern on offense. However, I have some hope as he has some time with KP in the passing department. I'm really excited for him as I hope he develops into the elite passer he can be. RB Saquon Barkley enters 2025 projected for 1,250–1,350 rushing yards, 10–1...

The Call to Preach.

Image
At the age of 8, I surrendered to preach. It was on a Sunday when I told everyone. The Lord had been putting a desire and a thought of preaching on my heart and I knew that is what the Lord wanted me to do. So in 2018, I preached my first message. Today, I want to look at what the Bible says about the call to preach. 1. The call is from God The call to preach is a serious call. It is something that is given by God.  Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” 2. The call can be a burden. God in many cases has placed a burden in men's hearts to preach.  We see from this passage that Paul had a burden that felt like a necessity. For necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!” — 1 Corinthians 9:16 Sometimes that desire and burden is the call. I have heard of many missionaries that got a burden to reach a certa...

We Got a New House!!!

Image
Okay, so I have some super big news. But more on that later. We were able to start school and so far its been pretty good. I'm able to enter my junior year. I bought my own desk for school and it really works great. I put up some decorations and it is super peaceful to work in. For August, We had our Tuesday Nights of Great Preaching. It has been really good and I have heard some awesome preachers. I have also really enjoyed preaching at our nursing home ministry led by Bro. Munson. I have been able to learn some really valuable things about this unique ministry. I will start breeding on September 4th. I'm so excited for the fall season and my rabbitry. Now for the big news, we are getting a new house. Our old house is from 1990 and it was having some serious problems with mold and other stuff. We have searched and found our next home and it is a beautiful home.  I will be updating as we move into it.

Having a Dream.

Image
Proverbs 29:18 (KJV) "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he."    Have you ever seen a little kid talk about what they want to be when they grow up? Their eyes light up. They speak with excitement, boldness, and no fear of failure. Firefighter. Doctor. Preacher. Astronaut. They believe they can do it. But somewhere along the way, that excitement fades. Today, we’re seeing more and more teenagers who don’t have a dream. No direction. No goal. No vision for their life. And I believe that’s a problem—a spiritual one. Because when there’s no vision, there’s no motivation. When there’s no dream, there’s no drive to do anything great for God. Today I want to talk about the importance of having a dream. 1. Have a dream. First, get a dream. It doesn't have to be something you commit to for the rest of your life. But have something you can imagine yourself doing when your an adult. Don't be one of the teen guys that says I ...

Sports in the Christian Life.

Image
I love Sports! I really do. I doesn't have to be football or basketball either. It can be any sport.  With Football, I play it outside. I play Madden inside and I watch all the Eagles games. Probably my number 1 hobby is football. But if I'm not careful, I will let sports consume me.  Now there's nothing wrong with sports but there are some things to watch out for and to balance with sports in the Christian life. 1. Sports can become an idol. Exodus 20:3 “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” Idols do not have to be little carved statues. They are whatever has the most priority in our life. And sports along with every hobby or activity can become an idol. That could be a danger with sports. God is worthy of all our life and we ought to be careful not to be idolatrous with the things of this world. 2. Sports can Steal God's time. Hebrews 10:25   “ Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together...” As a Christian we have no right to skip church for a sporting ...

What Every Young Man Should Know

Image
Today, I have a list of things every young man should do. 1. Have Daily Devotions. Make sure you are consistently reading your Bible and praying every morning.  Set an alarm and make it a habit and keep that time reserved between you and God. 2. Listen to more preaching. Just because it is a week-day doesn't mean you can't listen to more preaching. If you find yourself with some free-time, put in the effort and listen to preaching. 3. Work Hard In whatever task your given, learn to work hard. No wife or employer wants a lazy husband. Don't be afraid of work, love it! 4. Prioritize Purity Especially in today's world, it is difficult to be pure as a guy. But it has to be a priority. Make the pledge that David made in the Bible. I will set no wicked thing before mine eye. 5. Treat your mom and sisters with honor and respect. I have often heard that how you treat your mom and sisters is how you will treat your wife .  Never belittle your mom or disrespect her in any way. ...
