The Silas Zone

 Imagine we are in the 1800s. Back then people loved books. Children and adults alike loved reading and authors were known as some of the most profound men in civilization. Libraries were full and kids sitting by candlelight to read a new book was not uncommon at all. Now we fast-forward today where smartphones, high-speed-internet and endless entertainment rule the day. In all sorts of places from streets to doctors office's to airports we see everyone on a phone. It consumes our day and we don't mind a bit. But in this futuristic age of technology books are thought as boring and useless, People struggle with reading on a consistent basis and reading does not interest them at all.  But today we will be finding the reason of why we Americans struggle with reading. 1.
