Having a Dream.

Image
Proverbs 29:18 (KJV) "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he."    Have you ever seen a little kid talk about what they want to be when they grow up? Their eyes light up. They speak with excitement, boldness, and no fear of failure. Firefighter. Doctor. Preacher. Astronaut. They believe they can do it. But somewhere along the way, that excitement fades. Today, we’re seeing more and more teenagers who don’t have a dream. No direction. No goal. No vision for their life. And I believe that’s a problem—a spiritual one. Because when there’s no vision, there’s no motivation. When there’s no dream, there’s no drive to do anything great for God. Today I want to talk about the importance of having a dream. 1. Have a dream. First, get a dream. It doesn't have to be something you commit to for the rest of your life. But have something you can imagine yourself doing when your an adult. Don't be one of the teen guys that says I ...

Sports in the Christian Life.

Image
I love Sports! I really do. I doesn't have to be football or basketball either. It can be any sport.  With Football, I play it outside. I play Madden inside and I watch all the Eagles games. Probably my number 1 hobby is football. But if I'm not careful, I will let sports consume me.  Now there's nothing wrong with sports but there are some things to watch out for and to balance with sports in the Christian life. 1. Sports can become an idol. Exodus 20:3 “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” Idols do not have to be little carved statues. They are whatever has the most priority in our life. And sports along with every hobby or activity can become an idol. That could be a danger with sports. God is worthy of all our life and we ought to be careful not to be idolatrous with the things of this world. 2. Sports can Steal God's time. Hebrews 10:25   “ Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together...” As a Christian we have no right to skip church for a sporting ...

What Every Young Man Should Know

Image
Today, I have a list of things every young man should do. 1. Have Daily Devotions. Make sure you are consistently reading your Bible and praying every morning.  Set an alarm and make it a habit and keep that time reserved between you and God. 2. Listen to more preaching. Just because it is a week-day doesn't mean you can't listen to more preaching. If you find yourself with some free-time, put in the effort and listen to preaching. 3. Work Hard In whatever task your given, learn to work hard. No wife or employer wants a lazy husband. Don't be afraid of work, love it! 4. Prioritize Purity Especially in today's world, it is difficult to be pure as a guy. But it has to be a priority. Make the pledge that David made in the Bible. I will set no wicked thing before mine eye. 5. Treat your mom and sisters with honor and respect. I have often heard that how you treat your mom and sisters is how you will treat your wife .  Never belittle your mom or disrespect her in any way. ...

The most overrated player at every position!

Image
QB-Dak Prescott Has had 3 injury-ending seasons and gets hurt consistently. Also he is 32 and his playoff resume is weak. HB-Isaiah Pacheco Has not had a rushing year of 1,000. And only rushed for 310 yards his year due to injuries. His YPC is 3.7 WR-Stefon Diggs The Patriots made a bad move by signing an injury-prone Diggs to 3 years and 69 million as their top guy. His locker room presence is terrible and he is 31. TE-Travis Kelce Simply too old. he will be 36 in October. He only had 3 TD's in 2024 and had the most drops of any season he has played. Also his playoff performance was really bad. OL- Alijah Vera-Tucker Nicknamed "AVT," struggled with injuries and limited snap count; viewed as overrated due to frustration over production vs. expectations DL-Montez Sweat A really bad PFF grade and only had 5 sacks. EDGE-Joey Bosa A horrendous PFF grade of 63.9 and only 5 sacks. He also had maybe the worst injury career of any of these players. LB-Devin White A starter for t...

Takeaways from the Eagles Preseason!

Image
The Eagles' First preseason was really fun to watch. The offense was really booming under the reigns of Tanner Mkee. The defense struggled but did well late into the game. here are my top Takeaways from the game. 1. Tanner Mkee was an absolute baller!!! He played sensational completing 20/25 for 251 yards and 3 total touchdowns. All of this being in the first 3 quarters of the game. The coolest part might be that he played against the Bengals' first-teamers with second-teamers. Overall, I was very impressed and I am not going to worry too much if Jalen Hurts misses a few games. 2. KP's Debut worked out really well! Our new OC delivered a great performance in his debut, accumulating 432 total yards of offense. He often went with what worked and rode the hot hand whether it was Shipley running or Tanner Mkee throwing deep. He had a very balanced approach and played to the team strength's which clearly worked out considering they scored 34 points. 3. We do not have a rep...

The Importance of the Family Dinner Table.

Image
1950: Imagine a typical evening in 1950. Mom has been busy all afternoon preparing a delicious meal—meatloaf with all the fixings. She sets the table with a sparkle in her eye, excited to gather her family. The front door opens, and Dad walks in from work, tired but happy to be home. Their three kids rush to help set the table, eyes wide at the food their mom has made. The family sits down together and says grace. As plates are passed around, conversation begins. Dad shares a funny story from the office, bringing laughter to the table. The kids eagerly tell about their day at school, and Mom talks about a new recipe she’s experimenting with for mac and cheese. Everyone shares their struggles and triumphs of the day. For those 20 minutes, the family is truly together—bonding, connecting, and building memories. 2025: Now picture a family of five in 2025. It’s dinner time, but the atmosphere is different. The kids are scattered in their rooms, each glued to their phones. The parents, ...

A Study on Humor!!

Image
Today, I will be starting a series on Humor. I have done research and will be presenting ideas about humor to hopefully help you be a funnier person. 1. The Surprise Theory. Much of humor revolves around a brain's unsuspecting reaction to a statement. Our brain is good at finding patterns in stories and statements. When that pattern is stopped and changed to something weird, it can be funny. For instance, “I love my GPS. It always starts out nice: ‘In 500 feet, turn right.’ But if you miss the turn, it’s like, ‘Recalculating... you MORON.’” This guy sets up a sweet, polite GPS—then gives it attitude. Your brain wasn’t expecting the twist, and that’s the laugh trigger. Adding that element of surprise will easily make you more funny. Use Twists, contradictions and sudden shifts in tone to add that surprise element. Being Effective: Take a boring sentence and ask, What’s the opposite or weirdest direction this could go? Then go for it. Look for the unexpected turn in the story to m...

Psychology Series pt. 1 (Worldviews)

Image
Well, to start off, This class began talking and discussing worldviews. Now Obviously I'm a Christian. But they gave these worldviews because this is a basic building block of Psychology. Here is the Definition of Worldview. A worldview is the overall perspective from which a person sees and interprets the world. It’s the framework of beliefs, values, and assumptions through which they understand life, make decisions, and evaluate right and wrong. Major Worldviews & Philosophies Chart  Worldview / Philosophy Belief in God? Truth Source View of Life Theism ✅ Yes (personal, active God) God's Word (Bible) Life has purpose given by God Deism ☑️ Yes (distant God) Reason & Nature God created the world but doesn’t intervene Naturalism ❌ No Science & Observation Nature is...
