Tips to have Great Conversations

Image
Have you ever been in a place where you couldn't think of something to say in a conversation. Or where you were nervous to talk to someone and you messed up your words and stumbled through the entire conversation. Today, I have a few tips to help you be a better listener and a talker in all your conversations! 1. Smile Now it doesn't have to be creepy but smile to look more friendly. Smiles show happiness and makes you look more fun and approachable. It is proven to help your mood and makes any conversation more enjoyable and light. Smiles express care, joy, grattitiude, and positivity to everyone you talk to. 2. Eye Contact People are much more likely to talk with you if you make eye contact. If your never looking them in the eye, it makes them think you are disinterested and they will soon leave. Eye contact shows you focus and care and you will find yourself less distracted. 3. Care When talking with other people, show that you care. Genuinely have a concern and interest in...

Living with the End in Mind

Image
James 4:14 (KJV) "Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away." How often can we say we live with the "end in mind". Sometimes it is easy not to. With the business of life and all, we will forget the end. It's also scary to think about the end. We don't like to think about when we will die or under what circumstances. But when we realize the value of life and the small time in which we have it, it compels us to stop and remember our end. I believe we could transform our lives if we kept the end in mind. Think about Heaven. Are we keeping it in mind? This morning I would like to share 4 area of our life that we need to keep the end in mind. 1. Rejoice with the end in mind. 1. Luke 10:20 (KJV) “Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” Start rejoicing wi...

This Week!!! ( July 4th-12th)

Image
It has been a really good week for me. For July 4th, our church had an activity with ice cream and some really good fireworks. I'm so thankful for our nation!!! Me and my mom were able to sell the last of our spring goats on Sunday! The Goat in the pic is Aurora. She is really pretty but I'm glad she is going to a new home. I have also been doing a bunch of work with my rabbit pens and scheduling out breeding which will start the end of August! My sister Callie recently started an Etsy shop selling unique earrings.  The ducks below are glow in the dark. We had our Good News at the Park today. it went really well and 58 from our church volunteered. I was also to help lead 2 teen guys to the lord as well with a friend. It is always a blessing to hear someone pray and accept Jesus into their heart! The cookies above was from a lady that gave them to me and I'm so glad because these Publix sprinkle cookies are my favorites. Lastly I was able to receive a certificate from the Bi...

The Importance of Balance.

Image
"A just weight is his delight: but a false balance is abomination to the Lord." — Proverbs 11:1 Standards are important. Convictions are important. But there has to be a balance. There must be balance in our dress standards. There must be balance in our music standards. There must be balance in our friendships. There must be balance in church, There must be balance in how we conduct ourselves. Balance is highly important. On side A of the pendulum swings between harshness, pride and personal preference. This side will push others away. The other side which will say is B swings apathy, excuses and compromise. There has to be  a balance in all this. Some people will either be super strict and mean with their standards. While the other will base it off the world or how they feel. There has to be a balance. Because each opposite end produces failure in the Christian life. Side A produces: A. Pride B. Fake Spirituality C. Unnecessary rules. D. Usually Rebellion within the kids....

The Calamity of Complaining.

Image
Numbers 11:1  “ And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled…” The children of Israel were notorious for one thing. COMPLAINING!! It shaped their identity From the bitter waters of Marah to having too much manna, the children of Israel were found murmuring. But as it sad as it may be, sometimes we can be guilty of the very same thing. I mean, come on! We wouldn't complain right? We live in America where wireless internet, AC, running water and all the luxuries in our house are everywhere. If anyone didn't need to complain, it should be us. But then why is it that we are so quick to complain when the littlest thing happens. Today, I have some simple points of the Calamity of complaining. 1. Complaining makes us want to quit. Numbers 14:2-4 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we ha...

4 Most-improved teams of 2025!

Image
New York Giants The Giants have been quietly rebuilding and are poised for a breakout season. Free Agency: They strengthened their secondary by signing cornerback Paulson Adebo and safety Jevon Holland. Veteran quarterback Russell Wilson was added to lead the offense and bring experience. 2025 Draft Highlights: With the third overall pick, they grabbed linebacker Abdul Carter, a defensive playmaker expected to make an immediate impact. They also drafted quarterback Jaxson Dart, a potential future starter, plus added depth at running back and offensive line. Outlook: With a stronger defense and a bolstered QB room, the Giants look ready to challenge in the NFC East. Baltimore Ravens The Ravens combined veteran savvy with young talent to improve on both sides of the ball. Free Agency: Key additions include cornerbacks Chidobe Awuzie and Jaire Alexander to strengthen their secondary, plus quarterback Cooper Rush for depth. 2025 Draft Highlights: They selected safety Ma...

My Summer has been going great. Here are some things that have happened lately over the end of June. Crazy to think its already halfway through 2025!!! The Pic above is my parents celebrating 31 years of marriage. My dad preached down south and took mom along and spent 2 extra days celebrating their anniversary. They truly love each other. I hope my marriage is as happy and sweet as theirs. My older brother Josh celebrated his 29th birthday. He is a great brother and an awesome youth director! Our farm is doing great and the rabbits are doing great even though it has been a super hot summer. My sister Callie (15), got her permit. Kinda scary to think about!!!!!

4 Eagles That are Facing a Make or Break Season???

Image
  1. Dallas Goedert (TE) Current Status: Veteran starting tight end, key offensive weapon for Jalen Hurts. Make-or-Break Context: Goedert has battled injuries in recent seasons, which have limited his availability and production. 2025 is crucial for him to stay healthy and deliver consistent production to maintain his starting role, especially with young tight ends waiting in the wings. Eagles rely on him as a safety valve and intermediate target, so his playmaking impacts the offense’s efficiency. Outlook: A strong, healthy season would secure Goedert’s value for contract talks and keep him a central piece in Philly’s offense. A drop in performance or injury issues could open the door for younger TEs to take his role. 2. Sydney Brown (S) Current Status: Second-year safety entering 2025, competing for a starting role. Make-or-Break Context: Brown showed flashes of promise but is competing heavily with rookie Andrew Mukuba for the starting ...

Used of God

Image
Hers is a condensed version of what I preached for our youth night this past Sunday! Being Used of God Joshua 1:1-2 — After Moses died, God called Joshua to lead Israel into the promised land. Joshua wasn’t average; he was used by God. The Difference Between the Average Christian and the Mighty Christian: The average Christian: Follows the crowd (like those who made the golden calf) Stays comfortable and silent Prays only when convenient Quits when things get hard Avoids serving or stepping up The mighty Christian (like Joshua): Serves faithfully (Joshua was Moses’ servant) Stays close to godly leaders Steps up to lead and obey God’s call Has a right spirit and heart ready for God’s use How to Let God Use You: 1. Have a Spirit That Can Be Used Be filled with wisdom and a right spirit (Deut. 34:9; Psalm 51:10) Be separated from sin and striving for God (Exodus 33:11) Avoid a complaining or quitting attitude 2. Follow Godly ...
