The Honey Comes Later
Galatians 6:9 “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
I want you to imagine something for a second. Imagine a bee that is is young and has just started working at collecting pollen from the flowers. Two days go by with the exact same grueling chore of collecting pollen. One day, the bee gets frustrated that there has been no honey. He worked 2 entire days and yet there is none of that sweet success. No visible results to his labor. So the bee quits because he has seen no honey. Yet that sad bee did not realize this simple truth.
"The Honey Comes Later."
Just like that bee, we must too realize that sometimes success and results don't come immediately. Sometimes we just have to keep working and the success will come later. The results will come later.
The honey comes later.
So when you have an unanswered prayer that burdens and bothers you. Keep praying! The honey comes later. God will answer that prayer in his time.
When you have given out the gospel again and again and nobody has gotten saved. Keep on witnessing. The honey comes later. God will reward your efforts.
When you have gotten discouraged by the trials in the Christian life and want to quit. Keep on going for Christ. The honey comes later. We will understand it all in heaven.
When you have been reading the Bible but you feel like its doing nothing for you. When its a struggle to get up in the morning and to read the Bible. Keep in the Word of God! The honey comes later.
When you wonder if staying pure until marriage is really worth it. Stay pure! The honey comes later.
When the ministry you work in at church isn't growing. Keep serving! The honey comes later.
In the Christian life, there will be times when we must keep doing what's right no matter what, even when we get discouraged. We must trust Gods timing in everything.
God makes all things beautiful in His time.
So to that frustrated bee, keep on going! The honey comes later.
