Books You Need To Read (Young Preachers Edition)

Books are a wonderful tool. They have the ability to help an individual be inspired, convicted, motivated, or encouraged. These six books I recommend come from my book collection. This first book is excellent when it comes to the philosophy, attitude, and spirit the preacher ought to have. The quick chapters contain tremendous wisdom.

2. Paul Schwanke Books

I highly recommend any books written by Paul Schwanke about the books of the Bible. His scholarly insight on Scripture leaves me in awe.

3. Principles For Church Growth

This next book is amazing for young preachers that need insight into how to organize and grow a church. Pastor Fugate does a great job explaining how to pastor and grow the ministries of the church.

4. Making The Bible Version Debate Simple

The pressure of dropping the KJV is a fight that young preachers will constantly face during their ministry. Reading this book has greatly helped me understand the reason why the KJV is so important along with why God's Word must be perfect and pure.

5. Preparing For The Ministry

Our next book is written by a pastor that has influenced Independent Baptists perhaps more than any other man in the past 30 years. The wisdom he gives in this book is not only helpful but also valuable advice for every preacher.

6. Practical Theology For Young Preachers.

This last book is so practical! (As the title suggests) It gives countless tips and principles every young preacher should take to heart.
