My 2-Week Sugar Fast Ended!


 Thankfully, my 2-week sugar fast ended Sunday! Below are all the details of how it went.


A. It was way harder than I expected!

Honestly, I thought it wouldn't be that hard going into it. But boy was I wrong. The carvings for sugary foods and drinks were really hard to resist. Probably the hardest part of the fast was the cravings. For the first 5 or 6 days it was really hard but then the cravings started to die down.

B. I realized how much sugar I have.

Having no sugar actually showed me how much sugar I have every day. And its a lot! So while I'm not quitting sugar for good, I would like to make sure I am not having too much sugar.

C. I cheated one day.

I will admit, the first Friday I did cheat by having a piece of cheesecake. Other than that, I did pretty good all things considered.

D. I felt great.

After the first week of cravings, the second week I found myself to have a lot more energy. I didn't feel sluggish at all and was more energetic than usual.

E. The hangover was terrible.

So Sunday was my first day to begin having sugar. And after 2 sodas, oreos, and an easter basket full of candy, I had a terrible headache. It was awful!
