The new year and my birthday.

As the new year dawns, so does a new vison and theme for our church. The first Sunday of every year, my church has what is called a vision service. For this one, we set up chairs and had it at our new building. There were many people there for the chilly service and everyone was so exited to be there and see the new construction updates on the building.

My dad preached an awesome message to challenge us for the new year and tell us what the Lord has laid on his heart for the theme.

The theme this year is.... GO! This wonderful theme challenges us to go and accomplish more for the Lord than ever before. I'm super excited for the theme and everything God has for us this year.

Now on to my birthday the following Tuesday. That morning, I woke up around 7 and after some devotions, opened up my presents. I received some many wonderful gifts but one of them was a special edition Saquon Soar soap. I also got many books, a special t-shirt and a set-up net to practice football.

After opening presents, we drove to the local park to play flag football. It was a perfect 56 degrees and many of my friends and family came.

The game itself was awesome and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There were some great moments in the game and every part of it was great. I'm super thankful for everyone that came.

After that, me and my parents drove to Germains. This is a great fast food place known for its chicken sandwiches. We actually saw it on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives.

The food was incredible. Probably the best I have ever had. We bought 3 different kinds and each were really good. After that, we went to a thrift store before going home.

That night my mom made a cool recipe of Noodle Burgers. Its a regular burger but the bun is lightly fried ramen with a special sauce. While we ate, we watched a old black and white movie from the 1950s. Overall, it was an awesome birthday and I am glad to be 17.
