Living the Homeless Life!
These past 2 months have been super crazy as we have been living with my Grammy waiting for our new mobile home to arrive. Within the next few weeks we will be fully settled in. But today, I want to talk about living a kind of homeless life and what I have been up to.
At the end of September, we had a wonderful missions conference with Dr. Scott Caudill. It was awesome and to cap the conference off, we had a banquet with desserts from different countries.
I recently bought a really fun board game called root. This game revolves on dominating a forest with fierce battling creatures from the forest. It involves a lot of strategy but is still really enjoyable.
Our new house came in and I cannot wait to move in. It is so spacious and has 400 square feet more room.
Our rabbit kitting season is right around the corner and I'll be updating further on future bunnies.
One last thing on the house is that our church is going to add on a porch for us which will make it perfect!
Over the past few weeks, I have been burdened about witnessing to my trumpet teacher so on a lesson on Saturday, I was able to give him the Gospel. Thankfully, he has already gotten saved as a teenager but it was still a wonderful experience. I have really enjoyed having him as a trumpet teacher.
On our way back, I took my mom on a quick date to Mcdonalds. However, it was terrible.
We got our meals and Mom noticed a nail in her food. Then when I went up to the soda machine, I filled up my cup with Sprite. But the Sprite was warm and when I looked inside the cup, there were probably 20 small bugs swimming in the cup. It was SUPER GROSS!!
In the second week of October, I went on our teen fall retreat. It was awesome! There was a total of 10 teenagers that came. We went to a soul-winning conference in central Georgia run by Woodland Heights Baptist Church. It was really convicting and practical. Johnny Pope was there and I got to hear him for the first time which was really good and then I asked him to sign my Bible.
However there was an intense part. In the backyard, there was an overgrown creek that looked ominous and creepy. It perhaps had bodies in it. But on one afternoon, all the youth group guys got in the creek and our youth pastor made me get in there too. I wasn't completely freaked out but I wasn't necessarily giddy to get in a mysterious creek that had who knows how many ungodly creatures in it. Nervously we went in and oh it was freezing! I took a few steps and my feet were kicked out underneath me as it became unsuspectingly deep. I uncomfortably kept swimming with the other guys until we made it to a interesting place where the creekbed was a blue colored clay. We all started making smooth clay balls and it was really cool. A little while later we made it to a bridge where it got insanely deep. I then fearfully saw bubbles coming for me! I eventually escaped and we all made it back to the Airbnb. Well, except for Joe.
No I'm just kidding! We had a really fun time though.
It was a good trip all around and I love our youth group!
