Spotlight Player (Jalen Hurts!!!)

Heading into the lonesome part of the offseason, I will be spotlighting some of the Eagles players and talking about their stats and cool stuff to boost your confidence in the Eagles.

Starting off is Jalen Hurts.


1. He is a Super Bowl MVP and Champ!
It is so cool that out of the most coveted thing in football, belongs to the Eagles. This is a category that Hurts beats EVERY other QB.  

2. He has been to the playoffs all 4 years as a starter.
A feat only 8 other QBS have. 6 of those QBs being hall of famers. You could argue its the team or whatever but 17/21 starting positions have changed over those 4 years. Something Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Joe Burrow can't say!

3. He set the record for most rushing TDs by a QB in a season.
And while the Tush Push may help, it is still a pretty cool stat.

4. He had the fewest turnovers for starting quarterbacks in 2024.
Hurts played over 660 snaps and only 8 turnovers!! You look at other elite QBs. As a sample, Patrick Mahomes had 12 turnovers and Josh Allen had nearly double the amount of Hurts.

5. He had great QB stats outside of one category.
Considering he had to share his time with Saquon, his passing stats were not there. But his YPA was elite with 7.7 Not to say he can't pass well. He proved that in 2022 and 2023 passing for over 3,700 yards in each season. But otherwise his stats aren't bad. he placed first in turnovers and  5th in passer rating. Even his passing TDs ranked 19th despite the Tush Push and Saquon. He also ranked 3rd in rushing yards by a QB. And to top it off, He was the 2nd best scorer in Fantasy Football. all fo this considering his passing attempts were 22nd in the league.

6. He has been in MVP contention twice.
He is a proven baller in which up until week 14 in 2022 and week 12 in 2023, he was the leader for the MVP race. If you think he can't play well, tell that to his multiple MVP considerations, his all pro, his 2 pro bowls, his rushing TDs and his super bowl MVP.

7. Analysts love Hurts now.
It used to be that everyone doubted Hurts but in May, 17/20 analysts for ESPN put Hurts in the top 5 QBs.

8. PFF puts him as the top 5 QB
The top grading company for NFL players ranks him 5th. When it comes down to it, the experts of judging a player says he is a top 5 QB.

9. He is the (winningest QB)
Out of all quarterbacks, he has the most wins over the past 3 years. He also did not lose one game after the bye. The whole ( the team is the reason people think Jalen is great) argument needs to subside. The only time the Eagles lost after the bye was when Jalen got hurt.

10. AI loves Hurts.
Not that it matters but AI ranked him 3rd overall in the league.

11. He outperformed Mahomes in all 4 games.
This stat is cool because no other QB can say that. And 2 of those times came in the Super Bowl.

12. Against Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Jayden Daniels, Dak Prescott, Matthew Stafford, and Jordan Love, he is 9-0 in 2024.  He also outperformed those QBs in 7 of those games. Yikes for all the Hurts Doubters!

13. The best DC in the league said he was the hardest to plan for.
Steve Spagnola said after being taken down by hurts in super bowl 57, he has realized Hurts is the hardest to plan for. Howver he couldn't stop Hurts in super Bowl 59 either. But he could stop Saquon. and he could stop Lamar, Burrow and Josh Allen. Hmm....

14. He is ranked the third most successful  deep baller this year.
I'm not making this up. According to statmuse.com, he is the third most accurate deep baller of throws 20+.

15. Hurts is the fastest QB to reach 10,000 yards in passing and rushing.
Perhaps the greatest feat considering he is 26 and has that many yards under his belt. 

16. He has the highest amount of games with a 100+ passer rating with 76.
Wow 76 games!! More than Mahomes and all the others. Another stat in his favour.


Now I'm not saying Hurts is the greatest ever but I'm saying he is a top-5 QB and a winner. To prove logically otherwise, you need to show me as much evidence as I showed. Now sure, he needs to improve, be a smarter thrower and trust the pocket but every QB has his struggles. But Hurts struggles couldn't stop him from hoisting the Lombardi. And I love that about him and our team.
So to all 31 other teams, watch out because were coming in 2025 to repeat.

This Week!!! ( July 4th-12th)

It has been a really good week for me. For July 4th, our church had an activity with ice cream and some really good fireworks. I'm so thankful for our nation!!! Me and my mom were able to sell the last of our spring goats on Sunday! The Goat in the pic is Aurora. She is really pretty but I'm glad she is going to a new home. I have also been doing a bunch of work with my rabbit pens and scheduling out breeding which will start the end of August! My sister Callie recently started an Etsy shop selling unique earrings.  The ducks below are glow in the dark. We had our Good News at the Park today. it went really well and 58 from our church volunteered. I was also to help lead 2 teen guys to the lord as well with a friend. It is always a blessing to hear someone pray and accept Jesus into their heart! What I have Learned from the Rabbit Business.

If you don't know already, I love breeding and selling rabbits. It has been super fun and in today's post, I will be talking about some of the things I have learned from the rabbit business! 1. Pick the breed If you plan on breeding, raising, and selling rabbits, you first start off by picking which breed you want. Do loads of research to find the breed that best's fit your area, cage space and colors. I chose Holland lops. They are relatively smaller and are the most docile rabbit breed out there. There is a good market in North Florida and they work for my set-up. 2. Buy Supplies Next go to your local Rural King and buy all the rabbit supplies. You want to find a bag of grain, timothy hay and a pet water bottle. Also think about buying food dishes, brush, and treats.
